About Claudia
Where are you from and where do you currently live?
I’m originally from Saxony-Anhalt, which is still my home of choice. I live surrounded by forests and lakes, and I love being as close to nature as possible – together with my animals, living as self-sufficiently as I can.
How would you describe yourself in a few words?
Authentic, creative, spiritual.
What fascinates you about the world of the Middle Ages / Viking Age?
I love the self-sufficient, authentic way of life from that era – reduced to the essentials and focused on what truly matters. I love the style, the materials, and the detailed, handcrafted character of things. It all reflects simplicity and purpose. Unfortunately, I can’t relate much to the modern world and often feel like I was born in the wrong century.
Do you have a favorite character or setting that you like to immerse yourself in?
Oh, there are so many! I love expressing my creativity in all areas – experimenting, inventing, and trying new things. The most important thing is that I feel comfortable and that it feels right in my heart.
How did you first hear about Leonardo Carbone?
It was during one of my acting engagements at a medieval open-air festival – around 2010, I think. I was playing Brunhilde, a warrior princess, in a performance full of horse-riding scenes and, of course, a love story with a happy ending. One cold evening, a woman at the festival lent me a brown Leonardo Carbone medieval cloak from her stall – and I simply couldn’t part with it afterwards.
Since then, I’ve fallen in love with the brand and have continued to look online for specific pieces ever since.
What do you particularly like about Leonardo Carbone’s clothing and style?
I love the details – the trims, embroidery, cloak fastenings, and bag buttons. I adore the wide skirts and the elegant coats with their long hoods. I also appreciate the variety for men, women, and children alike, as well as the beautiful natural fabrics and materials.
What is your favorite Leonardo Carbone piece?
Without a doubt, I absolutely love the olive-green Skadi and the embroidered Elina fabric belts in different colors. The Skadi has an exceptional hue – it goes with everything and is perfect for everyday wear. The embroidery, the soft fabric, and the comfort are simply unmatched.
That’s exactly the kind of clothing we should wear – when we can truly feel it.
I have the Elina belts in green, black, beige, and brown – they go with everything and elevate every outfit. I adore them all, and last but not least, my brown Viking cloak “Fjell” – it’s the most beautiful coat in the world to me. Simply fairytale-like.
What does it mean to you to be a Leonardo Carbone Ambassador?
Since I know these pieces so well – I photograph them every year, feel them, see them, stage them, and experience them with all my senses – I feel completely connected with the brand.
I wear the clothing in my private life and truly love it. What we love, we can recommend wholeheartedly – and people notice that authenticity.
I’m happy to share my appreciation for the high quality of Leonardo Carbone. Especially today, when cheap production and mass imports are undermining true craftsmanship, I believe it’s more important than ever to recommend sustainable, lovingly made clothing that is truly unique and of exceptional quality.
Is there anything personal or special you would like to share with our community?
Wear what you love. Do what you love. Live, love, laugh, and celebrate life to the fullest.
You are unique! Believe in yourself, live your own style, and surround yourself with what feels right and good for you.
