Whether you are portraying a brave warrior, a ranger, or a traveling merchant in LARP: it is the patina and the scent of genuine leather that bring your character to life. At Leonardo Carbone, you will find a huge range of leather crafts designed specifically for the needs of medieval markets and Live Action Roleplay.
Your Leather Equipment: From Head to Toe
Our assortment covers everything you need for the "finishing touches" or basic armour. We divide our leather goods into three areas to help you find what you need quickly:
1. Accessories & Utility
Small details make the difference. No medieval outfit works without storage space:
- Belts & Long Belts: The foundation of every garb. Our historic long belts with authentic buckles are a must-have.
- Bags & Pouches: From small belt pouches for coins to large shoulder bags made of sturdy cowhide.
- Horn Holders: Keep your drinking horn handy at your belt while at the market.
2. Armour & Protection (Bracers & More)
For combat or a martial look, we offer robust armour leather:
- Arm Bracers & Vambraces: Protect your forearms in battle and look strong with any tunic.
- Wide Wristbands: Often featuring Celtic embossing or rivets as a decorative element.
3. Clothing & Shoes
Where textile meets leather. Discover our tunics with leather applications, bridging the gap between simple clothing and armour, as well as our wide selection of leather boots and peasant shoes for a sure footing.
Quality You Can Feel and Smell
We use different types of leather depending on the purpose. While soft suede or nubuck is often used for pouches, we use firm, often vegetable-tanned cowhide or greased leather for belts, holders, and armour parts. The latter develops a beautiful, individual patina over time.
Frequently Asked Questions about our Leather Goods (FAQ)
How do I best care for medieval leather items?
Coarse dirt should be removed with a brush. Smooth leather and armour parts will thank you if treated regularly with leather grease. This keeps the material supple and water-repellent. Suede should only be brushed and waterproofed.
Are the leather items suitable for historical reenactment?
Our products are primarily designed for LARP and medieval markets ("historicized"). They offer the perfect look and high stability at fair prices. For strict museum-quality reenactment, please check the detailed description of individual items (e.g., type of buckles).
