The oldest proven form of the robe pin dates back to the Bronze Age. Fibulas and braces were worn until the high middle ages. A medieval fibula is traditionally used to hold coats, capes or even dresses together. Archaeological finds of fibulae help archaeologists to date other archaeological finds. In addition to the omega brooch or buckle brooch which belongs to the ring brooch, we also offer clasps with or without leather parts.
