You can easily and comfortably wash the linen tunic "Ragnar" at 30° on the delicate wash cycle, which makes it as practical as it is stylish for modern use. Feel free to combine it with a belt, which is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also reflects an authentic Viking method of fitting and securing their tunics.

A special feature of this authentic Viking tunic are the two small rectangular inserts under the arms or in the armpits and on the sides. These features have their roots in the historical clothing of the Vikings. Archaeological finds, such as those from Hedeby and Birka, and textile historical research indicate that these inserts served to increase freedom of movement and provide a more comfortable fit. This was essential to the active and often labor-intensive lives of the Vikings.

An authentic Viking tunic is characterized by its simple but functional cut. It is known from finds and depictions that the main part of the tunic often consisted of a single piece of fabric cut into a T-shape. Sleeves and, if necessary, side or axle inserts were then added.

Linen was a widely used material for making clothing in Scandinavian countries during the Viking Age (ca. 793-1066 AD). Its durability and breathability made it an ideal choice for garments that had to withstand the harshest Nordic winters as well as the warmer summer months.
